Carolyn McCall DBE became ITV’s first female CEO in January 2018. In 2019 ITV outlined its Social Purpose strategy, using the power of ITV to shape culture for good. ITV has set ambitious targets, in terms of championing better mental and physical health; fostering creativity by embracing diversity; reducing impact on the environment; and giving back. ITV has also this year launched Britain Get Talking, a Mental Wellness campaign to help families get closer. Prior to joining ITV, Carolyn was CEO of easyJet for nearly 8 years where she turned around the company, by focusing on customers and people. She also launched the Amy Johnson initiative targeting female entry pilots. Before easyJet, Carolyn was CEO of Guardian Media Group. In 2016 Carolyn was awarded a Damehood for services to the aviation industry having received an OBE in 2008 for services to women in business.
